The Georgetown American Legion Dornblaser Post 203 prides itself as being a supporter of our local community, and fellow U.S. Military Veterans. Our post serves the time honored values of Veterans. Defense. Youth. Americanism. Communities.
The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans. We are the home of the Mission K9 Warrior program that is committed to providing life saving service K9s to our fellow veterans suffering from combat theater related PTSD at no cost to the affected veteran.
